Wells Oration - Christina Matthews
Legendary Australian cricket player with a mission towards gender equality and diversity. Christina Matthews was Chief Executive Officer of WA Cricket from 2012 to 2024 and a former Australian Test and One Day cricketer.  Christina is a well-respected voice within the Australian business community with strong leadership qualities and over 36 years’ experience in various management, coaching and development roles within cricket, hockey and Australian Rules Football.

A significant contributor to the development of cricket, she has spent many years supporting community cricket associations and is a Life Member of the Sydney Cricket Association, Honorary Life Member of MCC (Lord’s), and the Melbourne Cricket Club and is former member of the Board of the Bradman Foundation.  In 2024 Christina was elected to the Board of the Australian Cricketers Association and was subsequently appointed President, the first female to be appointed to the position of President. Christina’s focus is not solely on cricket, also sitting on the boards of Tourism WA, CEO’s for Gender Equity, Youth Focus, Leadership WA and is Chair of Peak Trampoline.  In addition to this Christina is also the WA Chapter Lead for the Minerva Network which is a pro bono mentoring organisation for elite female athletes and a member of Sportswest’s Women’s Advisory Group. In 2024 Christina won the Business category for Celebrate WA’s Western Australian of the Year Awards and was awarded an AM for services to cricket, and to women. In 2023 Christina was inducted into the WA Women’s Hall of Fame and in 2022 she was named WA Sports Administrator of the Year..
Grant Dusting
Grant Dusting is a social researcher and the Director of Strategy at the internationally recognised McCrindle. With a background in public policy, community engagement and boardroom experience in the NFP sector, Grant is experienced at advising organisations on how to respond strategically to current and future trends. Combining big-picture analysis with an eye for fine details and key questions, Grant’s strategic approach helps organisations identify how to leverage the power of research insights to drive their strategy and communications. Grant brings a wealth of research experience to his engaging presentations and consulting. He loves providing data-led insights so decisions can be made with wisdom and stories told with clarity.
Dr Amie Fabry
Dr Amie Fabry is a devoted early childhood educator with almost two decades of diverse experience who merges research with hands-on practice to uplift leaders in pedagogical transformation. Known for her strengths-based approach, Amie is dedicated to cultivating environments where educators and children flourish. Her PhD spotlighted the pivotal role early childhood leaders have in fostering cultures of collaboration and connection, further emphasized by her recognition with a New Voice Scholarship from the Australian Council for Educational Leaders. At The Learning Future, she crafts professional programs, drawing from her rich background as a teacher, academic, consultant, and researcher, consistently sparking educational evolution.
Dr Hayley Watson
CEO and Founder of Open Parachute, Dr Hayley Watson is Australian clinical psychologist with a PhD from Macquarie University in school bullying interventions. She has over  15 years of experience developing and delivering school well-being programs. Hayley has worked with schools, governments, police departments, charities, and private corporations globally to build effective systems of support for both youth and adults.
Dr Shane Glasson
Dr Shane Glasson  has an unbridled passion for leadership and has made the identification of leadership talent and the formation, development, and revitalisation of leaders the focus of his life, work, and scholarship. Over the course of his 30-year career, Shane has assisted hundreds of leaders to find their niche and reach their potential, especially those from educational settings. He lives this vision every day as the Founder of The Liminal Space, a consultancy based in Perth, Western Australia.
